Four Hundred attend DRUGS ERASE DREAMS community forum by the Flomaton Lions Club. The Forum was to educate and make aware what drums are doing to the community and about how drug use destroys lives of the young and old, which touches the lives of everyone in the community. Thanks to Janet Little Cooper w/The Tri City Ledger and Joe Thomas, Editor-The Tri City Ledger with a follow-up editorial piece. Our speakers for the night were: Judge Dave Jordan, Judge Bradley Byrne, Denise Bell Carlee with the Escambia County Drug Court; and from the Escambia County Drug Task Force Officers Scott Walden and Jeremy Conn. Fellow Lion Scott Hammond, who is also principal of Flomaton High School, did a tremendous job of rallying the students to attend; and our local LEO Club helped us with the registration. In addition to very eye opening drug facts all attendees received free pizza and soft drinks. A big Thank You to Dale Matthews Ash with Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Atmore for donating our drinks.
