Mobile Screening Unit drivers needed...
Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association (ALSCA) is seeking interested applicants for the position of part-time Mobile
Screening Unit Drivers/Trainers. Mobile Screening Unit Drivers provide a vital service to the ALSCA eye care screening of
individuals throughout the state. Drivers are responsible for traveling to various locations in the State of Alabama, working with
local Lions Clubs in setting up patient screening stations, and providing reports of results of the screening to the local clubs and
Alabama Lions Sight.
Qualified applicants must be residents of the State of Alabama, possess a valid Alabama Drivers License, be in good physical
health, be able to lift and set up screening instruments and tables provided by Alabama Lions Sight, and accommodate
overnight screening visits. Successful applicants must also attend training sessions on the use of the eye screening equipment
and be able to provide this training to individuals assisting at the screening sites as needed.
Equipment is provided by Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association and provisions are made for travel expenses
associated with the approved screening schedule. A per diem salary is also provided.
