Meet District Governor Charlie Wigglesworth
DG Charlie Wigglesworth served for 40 years on active duty in the US Army, retiring in 2011 as a CW5.
His journey took him from the company orderly room to working for the
Army Chief of Staff. He is a combat veteran of Operation Urgent Fury in
Grenada.
In 2013, he became a Lion with the Daleville Lions Club, home club of PIP
Frank Moore. He served as 2nd Vice President, President, Club
Membership chair, and Club Director.
At the District 34C level, he has served as a Zone Chair, a Guiding Lion
and District Convention Chairperson, 2nd Vice District Governor and 1st
Vice District Governor.
He is a past President of the Fort Rucker Chapter of Military Officers Association of America and is a
former Executive Director of the US Army Warrant Officers Association.
He is married to PDG Dr. Claudia Wigglesworth, also a retired LTC, US Army and the former Mayor of
Daleville, AL. They have two sons, COL John Wigglesworth, USAF Reserve JAG Officer and the
Assistant Chief Prosecutor for Immigrant, Customs and Enforcement in San Antonio, TX, and Wayne
Wigglesworth (former Army SSG), currently an aircraft mechanic at Fort Rucker, AL. Charlie and
Claudia have 6 grandkids.
