Peace Poster Contest Winners 2016
Congratulations are in order for three very artsy students who participated in the Lions Club International's "Peace Poster Contest"! Miss Kaitlyn M. who attends Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Satsuma was selected as the Alabama Lions District 34C's 1st Place winner in the contest. Miss Katelyn was sponsored by the Satsuma Lions Club. 2nd Place award goes to 7th grader Miss Olina E. of Gulf Shores Middle School. 3rd Place was taken by Miss Kaitlyn S., a 7th grader at Elberta Middle School. Both 2nd and 3rd place winners were sponsored by the Gulf Shores Lions Club. I want to thank all the clubs in 34C that participated in the Peace Poster Contest this year which were; Satsuma Lions, Gulf Shores Lions, Eight Mile Lions, and Fairhope Lions. You all gave an opportunity to our kids to compete and be creative while they and their schools and parents learned about Lions! The district is providing the following monetary awards to the top 3 contestants. 1st Place - $150, 2nd Place - $100, and 3rd Place - $50. The 1st Place artwork will be forwarded to the Multiple-District 34 office for yet another contest with the 1st Place winners from Districts 34A and 34B. The winner of that contest will then be forwarded to Lions International.
